Scene from the Channel 10 musical special "TV Spells Magic" transmitted from the newly built studios at North Ryde in 1965. This musical spectacular of its day was produced by Channel 10 Sydney to air on the commencement of transmission. Laurie Tesoriero worked on the show as a production assistant. This was Laurie's first job in the industry and his launching pad into the world of broadcast television.

Keith Laxton ACS sets up a suction car mount. Keith was one of the best cinemaphotographers around in the 70s and well respected for his lighting and eye for detail. Keith was a great friend and never reached his true potential in the industy. He passed away suddenly in 1983. His work will live on.

Pilgrim Films Senior Editor, Betti Wood at work in 1972. Betti was a great film maker who trained Laurie in his early years. Betti went onto greater things and produced and directed a series of specials for "The World Around Us" screened on the 7 Network.

When those super suction mounts were all the rage in the early seventies. Shown is a 16mm Bolex suction mounted onto a MG-B convertible. The camera was controlled with a cable operated by DOP Keith Laxton ACS who is out of sight from shooting view, on the car floor. Keith was no small man. Now that's dedication to the shoot!

In 1978, cuting and pasting the old way. Laurie at work using the latest flat bed of its day. A 16mm six plate editor that never crashed or dropped frames. Can anyone tell Laurie the brand name of this editor? He's forgotten and it not a Steenbeck.
